Sanatayn is a two-year Islamic course specifically designed for students 15+ wishing to study core Islamic subjects.
Delivered in English this comprehensive course will equip mature students with knowledge and deep understanding of Islam.
The course content has been carefully selected so that key topics are studied and essential subjects covered in a short period of time. The course is delivered over two days a week in two-hour lessons. Lessons are delivered by a qualified Aalim in English and will cover the study of the following subjects:
- Understanding of Aqaaid and Beliefs
- Tajweed – Rectifying the recitation of the Qur’an
- Study of Fiqh and Masail
- Learning Arabic conversation
- Seerah of Rasulullah Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam
- Translation and Commentary of the Holy Qur’an
- Study of the Prophetic Hadith
On completion of this course students will have attained a sound understanding of the core tenets of Islam, which will equip them to meet the challenges of modern-day life as a Muslim without compromising their religion.
The course will help Student to learn about Islam from a foundation level to a higher level providing them with knowledge and understanding of Islam. This will enable students to conduct their life in accordance with the commands of Allah and the Sunnah of His Prophet Sallalahu Alayhi Wasallam.
We understand the demands of modern life and the busy lifestyle we live. We have therefore deliberately kept lessons short but focused, rich but not overwhelming, ensuring only very limited study outside of lessons is required.
By the end of the course students will have the satisfaction of practicing their Deen with the knowledge from the Qur’an and the Sunnah together with the ability to understand and translate parts of the Holy Qur’an and the Prophetic Hadith from Arabic.
This course is ideal for Brothers who are unable to pursue the advanced Alim & Qiraat Course but wish to acquaint themselves with the foundations of Islamic studies.
In a nutshell, anybody over the age of 13. There is no restriction for upward age. It is an opportunity for students who have completed the Maktab syllabus and wish to progress further in learning Islamic studies and study basic Arabic language.
Duration of Course
2 years of study. This course runs during school term times only. Classes will take place on Saturdays and Sunday’s from 10.00am to 12.00pm

Holidays
Madrasa will remain closed during school term holidays, special Islamic days and on public holidays. A full list of holidays will be made available on commencement of the course.
The year will consist of 4 terms;
Term 1: June, July, August
Term 2: September, October, November
Term 3: December, January, February
Term 4: March, April, May
The termly course fee is £150.00 per student. Payment will be expected as follows:

Each student will be required to buy study books mentioned above. Further details will be provided together with information about where these books can be purchased. The Madrasa will also hold a limited stock of study books for students who wish to purchase them directly from us. Students will require stationary, writing books and binding folders.

Tafseer: Last Ten Surahs & Surah Yaseen
Hadith: Arba’een or Riyadus Saliheen
Teachers will work through the study books with students and explain to them concepts and theories. Learning will be supported by use of whiteboards, an open environment for questions and answers and material handouts where needed.
